Region V BOCES

Region V BOCES’ mis­sion is to pro­vide high qual­ity ser­vices to mem­ber dis­tricts and oth­ers who request assis­tance. Through coop­er­a­tive enter­prise, Region V BOCES facil­i­tates the pro­vi­sion of eas­ily acces­si­ble, def­i­nite, and largely self-determined sup­ple­men­tal and sup­port­ive ser­vices to local school dis­tricts, con­tributes to the equal­iza­tion of edu­ca­tional oppor­tu­nity with effi­ciency and econ­omy, and enhances statewide research, eval­u­a­tion, and dissemination.

Region V BOCES, C-V Ranch, Sun­rise School, and Roo­sevelt Learn­ing Cen­ter pro­vide a vari­ety of edu­ca­tional pro­grams and envi­ron­ments designed to pre­serve and enhance the poten­tial for dis­abled indi­vid­u­als. These efforts are aimed at help­ing indi­vid­ual stu­dents real­ize their max­i­mum men­tal, social, emo­tional, phys­i­cal and cog­ni­tive devel­op­ment, and to assist oth­ers in under­stand­ing the needs of the dis­abled and their pro­grams. Pro­grams and ser­vices are designed to set stu­dents on a course of self-direction that will make them con­tribut­ing and pro­duc­tive mem­bers of soci­ety.
